We are pleased to share with you the dates of our annual flagship international event, The 7th Growth Net Summit convened by the Ananta Centre and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to be held on 6 – 7 June 2019 at The Taj Palace Hotel, Sardar Patel Marg, New Delhi. Mr. Ong Ye Kung, Hon’ble Minister for Education, Singapore has agreed to deliver a keynote address at this program. The Summit would be the first major economic meet since the Parliamentary (Lok Sabha) elections of 2019 in India.
About The Growth Net
As a background, The Growth Net is a unique meeting for participants from the emerging market countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America to jointly shape their future and advance common objectives. We also have participation from the developed economies considering their impact and role in the global economy.
The Summit, started in 2013, has grown over the years and emerged as a platform to connect with the entrepreneurial and technological dynamism of emerging economies. The participants meet to exchange ideas and information, build mutual trust and develop a long-term agenda for future cooperation.
The last Summit held in 2018 brought together more than 60 speakers and 200 delegates from 15 countries including Ministers and senior officials, business and political leaders, economists, media persons and thought-leaders who shared insights and brainstormed on issues critical for generating and sustaining momentum in most emerging economies.
Piyush Goyal, Minister for Finance, Railways and Coal, Government of India delivered the inaugural address at this Summit. The meeting also featured keynote address by Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas; and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship; Suresh Prabhu, Minister for Commerce and Industry; Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State for Housing & Urban Affairs; Subhash Chandra Garg, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog.
