Luncheon with the academics from India and UK at Consul General's residence - 02nd July, 2026

On 2 July 2026, Consul General Dr Venkatachalam Murugan, organised a productive luncheon meeting focused on strengthening India–UK academic and research partnerships through collaborative research, innovation, technology transfer, faculty and student mobility, and joint educational initiatives.

The meeting brought together an eminent group of academicians for insightful discussions, including Prof. Mark Lee, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (India) and Professor of Artificial Intelligence; Prof. Dr. Kiran Gulia, Professor of Academic Materials and Manufacturing, University of Wolverhampton; Prof. Siddartha Khastgir, Head of Safe Autonomy at Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick; Prof. Wasim Hanif OBE, Medical Director at Birmingham City University, Trustee of Diabetes UK, and Professor of Diabetes & Endocrinology at University Hospitals Birmingham; Prof. Mohan Balasubramanian, Director of the Institute of Advanced Study and Professor at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick; Prof. Pawan Budhwar, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (International); and Dr Shakeela, Head of Computing Department, SRM University, India.
