Ayurveda, Yoga, and Meditation—the timeless pillars of holistic well-being—were the focus of a special Yoga Mahotsav session organised by the Consulate General of India, Birmingham, as part of the celebrations leading up to this year’s International Day of Yoga, themed #YogaForHealthyAgeing.
The event was organised in association with the Brahma Kumaris UK, The Art of Living, and Heartfulness, bringing together members of the local community, wellness practitioners, and yoga enthusiasts on 16th June, 2026.
The session provided participants with an opportunity to explore the interconnected principles of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Meditation, and to experience guided practices designed to enhance physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance. The programme highlighted the growing global relevance of India’s traditional knowledge systems in promoting sustainable and preventive approaches to health and well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives emphasised the importance of integrating holistic wellness practices into daily life, particularly in the context of healthy ageing and long-term well-being. The event also underscored the role of Yoga as a unifying force that transcends cultural boundaries and fosters harmony between mind, body, and spirit.
