Nada Yoga & Yoga for Mental Health led by the Isha Foundation - 2nd June, 2026

As part of the ongoing Yoga Mahotsav celebrations leading up to the 12th International Day of Yoga, the Consulate General of India, Birmingham hosted an enriching sessions on 2 June 2026 under the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing."

The programme featured a session on Nada Yoga conducted by Atman, highlighting the transformative and healing power of sound, and a session on Yoga for Mental Health led by the Isha Foundation, focusing on practices that promote emotional well-being, mindfulness, and inner balance.

Participants experienced the therapeutic benefits of Nada Yoga and engaged in rejuvenating pranayama exercises, gaining valuable insights into how regulated breathing can enhance and balance vital life energy, or prana. The sessions underscored yoga's holistic approach to healthy ageing by supporting physical vitality, mental resilience, and emotional wellness.

The event attracted members of the local community who actively participated in the interactive sessions and embraced the opportunity to deepen their understanding of yoga as a tool for lifelong health and well-being.

The Yoga Mahotsav celebrations will continue with an exciting Saree Yoga session this Friday, offering a unique opportunity to combine cultural heritage with wellness practices.
