Consul General's meeting and visit to the University of Loughborough - 08th October, 2025

On 8 October 2025, a productive meeting was held between Consul General Dr. Venkatachalam Murugan and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nick Jennings, along with Prof. Bala Vaidhyanathan at Loughborough University, to explore avenues for India–UK collaboration in research and innovation. The discussions highlighted the growing sports partnerships with the Sports Authority of India and potential future projects in this area. During the visit, Consul General Dr. Murugan toured Loughborough University’s state-of-the-art facilities, including 3D printing, advanced materials, UAVs, and robotics laboratories, gaining valuable insights into the university’s world-class research and innovation ecosystem that continues to strengthen India–UK technological cooperation.
