A significant milestone in India–UK healthcare collaboration was marked with the formal launch of the Centre for Digital Health & Precision Medicine, established in partnership with Apollo Hospitals at the University of Leicester. This pioneering centre aims to serve as a hub for the Apollo Translational Research (TR) Program, and will facilitate global research collaborations and advanced academic courses in the field of digital health and precision medicine. On 13th May 2025, Consul General Dr. Venkatachalam Murugan visited the university and held discussions with Vice Chancellor Professor Nishan Canagarajah and senior academicians. During the visit, the Consul General highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation in driving innovation, noting that “with joint efforts, centres of excellence thrive.”
