CGI, Birmingham organised Christmas celebrations

Consulate General of India, Birmingham organised Christmas celebrations at its premises on 24th December, 2018 with nearly 100 guests. The celebration was an ensemble of Carols in Hindi, English & Punjabi, Dance on Christmas Theme, Bible readings and Messages of Peace and Goodwill. Acting Consul General Mr. S.M. Chakraborty in his address mentioned the relevance of celebrating community events in increasing community cohesion & wished everyone Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Her Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant for The West Midlands Dr. Beverly Lindsay, Consort Mr Ramesh Alexander, President of International Asian Christian Front, Andy Street, Mayor of West Midlands combined Authority, Mr. Paul Sabapathy, CVO, CBE, Former Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands, Mr. H. S. Bhatia (Upashak), Head of Nirankari Mission and Chairman of Sandwell Confederation of Indians, Mr. Hamid Malik, Chairman and Founder of Federation of Indian Muslim Organisations in Midlands, Mr. Dial Masih, President of International Asian Christian Front, Dr. William Sidhu, Leader of the Administrative wing of Coventry Masihi Sangat and Dr. Wessly Lukose, Senior Minister of Transformation Church, Rowley Regis and Life Abundant Pentecostal Church, Leicester were among the distinguished guests. Communities across Midlands enthusiastically participated in the celebrations and wished that the event gets bigger & better with each passing year.
