Dr. Venkatachalam Murugan, Consul General of India in Birmingham, welcomed an Indian delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the offices of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce on 11th June.
During the meeting, the delegates engaged in discussions on a wide range of opportunities for cooperation and collaboration with businesses across the Midlands region. The dialogue focused on strengthening trade and investment linkages and exploring new avenues for economic partnership between India and the United Kingdom.
The Consul General highlighted the significant business potential of the Midlands and emphasised that enhanced cooperation and mutual collaboration would be beneficial for both countries, fostering stronger economic ties, increased investment opportunities, and sustainable growth.
The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce assured its full support and assistance to the visiting delegation in identifying and facilitating potential partnerships and investment opportunities. The discussions also explored the possibility of establishing a structured and enduring framework for collaboration to further promote business engagement, mutual support, and long-term economic development between India and the United Kingdom.
