75th Republic Day Reception 2024 at Birmingham Events and Conference Centre - 26th January, 2024

We celebrated the 75th Republic Day Reception with enlightening speeches & cultural program that reflected the richness of our Indian heritage with soul-stirring melodies, mesmerizing dances, & vibrant traditions of India at Birmingham Events & Conference Centre on 26th January, 2024. Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Lord Sahota, LOrd Whitby, Assistant High Commissioner, Bangladesh Mr. Muhammad Alimuzzaman, Rt Hon’ble Baroness Verma, Deputy Lord Lieutenants, Councillors and Vice Chancellors were present at the celebrations. More than 120 guests attended the celebrations including dignitaries & business men. ‘The Indian Diaspora of Midlands & North England has been a beacon of strength, resilience, & cultural richness. Together we will work towards strengthening every aspect of India-UK ties’ remarked Consul General Dr Venkatachalam Murugan after he felicitated the dignitaries & the artists. After the speeches by the dignitaries the evening continued with Cultural extravaganza, celebrating the rich tapestry of Indian traditions: Garba, Patriotic Songs, Harp & Dance. The harmonious day ended with scrumptious buffet which was enjoyed by all.
