The state of Maharashtra, India with its progressive measures to facilitate investments and investors has worked towards the goals it had announced during the Make in India initiative in 2014. The state which contributes close to 15% to National GDP is estimated to grow at 9.4% in current year. In the first half this fiscal the state has already attracted 45.24% of the FDI share received by India. Manufacturing which is the driving force of the Make in India initiative, now contributes close to 21.43% of the states GSDP.

In order to continue on this growth trajectory and continue being the favourite business destination for global and domestic investors, the state of Maharashtra is launching its first ever state driven Global Investor summit, Magnetic Maharashtra: Convergence 2018, in Mumbai during the 18-20th of February, 2018 at MMRDA Ground, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai

The Convergence 2018 summit will let you experience the Gateway for all industrial investments in India where the best minds, industries and government machineries converge to co-create. And in this journey for strengthening the economic strategy, that brings different parties together in order to jointly produce a mutually valued outcome, the state will play an integral role of a partner. Set against the backdrop of India’s magnetic state and commercial capital – Mumbai, this three day long initiative would offer unprecedented access, insights and opportunities to connect and collaborate with India and global industry leaders/visionaries, academicians, central and state administrations.

The sessions have been planned across four key pillars of Future Industry, Employment, Infrastructure and Sustainability and are aimed at serving as a platform to seek the opinion of industry captains and think tanks on making Maharashtra a world class destination and discuss on actionable way forward for manufacturing sector and opportunities for us to converge towards new growth avenues.
