As part of the year long celebrations of India -UK Year of Culture a special photo exhibition entitled "Cricket Connects: India-England" was inaugurated by Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General of India, Birmingham at the Consulate premises on the 3rd of July 2017.

The exhibition was initially inaugurated by the High Commissioner of India to UK, Mr. Yashvardhan Sinha, at the High Commission's cultural wing in London. It was curated, designed and developed by the Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai on behalf of the Government of India's Ministry of Culture, with support from the Nehru Centre, the Cultural Wing of the India High Commission in UK, and several other institutions and individuals.

The inaugural event at the Consulate was attended by several well known prominent members of the Indian Community.

The exhibition commemorates the deep ties between the two countries through a range of archival sources and images which highlights the unique value of the sport in the long standing bilateral relationship. The event will be displayed at the Consulate premises till the 7th of July.

All professional or amateur, young or elder cricket fans are requested to explore the CRICKET CONNECTS EXHIBITION held at Consulate General of India, Birmingham between 10 a.m. till 5 p.m.( except 1-2 p.m.) until Friday, July 7th 2017.
