Please note:

  1. The Consulate shall attest commercial/company documents only if the company in question is incorporated in the UK and if these documents are required to be presented before authorities in India.
  2. For this service, applicants can  apply in person (with appointment) only.

Documents to be attached:

  1. A request letter for the service on Company Letter Head with the seal of the company stamped on the Company Letter Head. The request letter should be duly signed by one of the Directors of the Company and should be accompanied by a copy of the incorporation certificate in respect of the company duly legalized from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
  2. All commercial/company documents should be duly legalized from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
  3. Applying in Person:
  1. The commercial/company documents should be submitted along with the valid original passport plus self-attested copies of the passport pages containing personal particulars(or duly notarized copies of the passport pages containing personal particulars) of one of the Directors of the Company.
  2. Fee: £42 (Please note that the fee is for each signature and stamp of the Consular Officer). Applications in person must be accompanied by the Fee for the service which is accepted either in cash or through crossed postal order (the crossed postal order should be drawn in favour of ‘CGI, Birmingham’).
  3. Processing Time: 2 Working Days

Note:  The above are the general mandatory requirements. The applicant may be advised to submit some more documents, after scrutiny of the application and documents at the Consular Section, on case to case basis.
