BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT CALLS

It has come to our notice that some unscrupulous elements have spoofed Consulate General of India, Birmingham’s number for contacting individuals and asking for money and personal details under various pretexts. This is to inform that Consulate General of India does not ask for any such details over the phone. In case a call is received asking for money, please do not pay any money to the caller. Do not share any personal information like passport number, BRP number etc with the caller. If you receive such a suspicious call or have any information, please report to the local police authorities and also send an email to inf.birmingham@mea.gov.in and admn.birmingham@mea.gov.in.
