Diwali on the Square - 2022

The India in UK (Consulate General of India, Birmingham) together with the West Midlands Combined Authority hosted the spectacular celebrations to usher in the Festival of Light on October 15, 2022! Dr Shashank Vikram, Consul General welcomed the diaspora on this occasion. This landmark event titled "Diwali on the Square" took place in the most prominent and iconic location in Central Birmingham, the Victoria Square drawing a crowd of more than 15,000 people from all across Midlands and North England. The enthusiasts thronged the area enjoying live entertainment, delectable food and a plethora of other activities & varieties of stallswere. In the morning a Diwali Breakfast was organised for the sponsors & few dignitaries.
Series of cultural elements were enjoyed by the crowd, however Mr. Gary Sandhu's performance was the highlight.
