Consulate General of India, Birmingham, in association with Indian Community, celebrated 125th Birth Anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr B R Ambedkar, Main Architect of Indian Constitution on April 14,2016 afternoon at Sandwell Council House.

Acting Lord Lieutenant Col Marsh and Mayor of Sandwell Councillor Barbara price inaugurated a Photo Exhibition on the life and times of Baba Saheb. The guests paid floral tributes to Baba Saheb Dr Ambedkar and a biographical film on his life was screened. Thereafter the dignitaries gave speeches praising the vision and leadership of Baba Saheb, the monumental role played by him in the making of Indian Constitution and his stellar contribution as the first Law Minister of India.
The copies of book " Ambedkar Speaks" containing speeches of Baba Saheb were presented to the dignitaries by Consul General.
