An engaging panel discussion on Post Pandemic Challenges -The new normal was virtually held on 18th February, 2021. Consul General Dr Shashank Vikram deliberated at the amazing session, said 'India is the Pharmacy of the World! Its Vaccine Maitri is setting an excellent example of Global Solidarity. He has worked in Embassy of India, Lisbon, Embassy of India, Brasilia and as Consul General of India, Durban, South Africa. Also, He has served Govt of Uttar Pradesh, India in various capacities including Special Secretary (Health& Family Welfare) & Additional Mission Director for National Urban Health Mission.

Roshan Shetty, as Infosys Head of Insurance, Life Sciences & HealthCare for EMEA, is an industry leader collaborating with clients in creating their strategy and executing transformational programmes leveraging business and technology services. He has over two decades of global experience in the IT services industry at Infosys managing clients across the Globe (US, UK and Europe). He has successfully collaborated with clients on many strategic businesses & IT digital and data transformation deals that have brought forward immense value to client organizations including successfully closing large complex Merger & Acquisition deals. Roshan was Country Head for Infosys in Netherlands, where he was responsible for the strategy and execution of Infosys businesses. He is the architect for Infosys growth and visibility in the Dutch market, which is key growth market for Infosys in Europe. He spearheaded the partnership model with Universities in Netherlands to embrace global talent and sponsor initiatives collaborating with Universities to give back to society. Roshan was also part of Netherlands Prime Minister’s delegation on Trade and Commerce to strengthen the relationship between Netherlands and India. Roshan is a Stanford University alumnus, where he has successfully completed the Executive Leadership Program and the Stanford Ignite Program - Entrepreneurship & Leadership. He also holds Master of Business Administration in Marketing from MIT and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering.
 
Mr. Karamjit Singh CBE, Chairman, University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust
 
Karamjit has been chairman of University Hospital of Leicester NHS Trust since September 2014. He has significant healthcare leadership experience with previous roles including Chair of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, Board membership of the Family Services Health Authority and Trustee of British Lung Foundation. He was awarded the CBE in 2000 for services to the administration of justice and was recently included in the Green Park Uk Survey as one of the 100 BAME Business Leaders. He is also a Companion of the Chartered Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

David Champeaux has been leading digital and AI-enabled innovations in healthcare for most of his career. He was a partner in McKinsey’s Healthcare Practice and McKinsey digital, where for over 12 years he innovated with healthcare clients around the world, and was then a Managing Director in Accenture Strategy’s Healthcare practice. Most recently, David has focused on designing AI-enabled Cognitive Healthcare innovations at scale, as Global Healthcare Solutions leader for IPsoft, and is now the Chief Growth Officer for Cherish Health
 
Prof KK Cheng, Director of the Institute of Applied Health Research at the University of Birmingham
 
Prof. KK Cheng has been Professor at the University of Birmingham since 1995. His main interests are in the epidemiology, prevention and control of important non-communicable diseases, and the development of primary care in China. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Prof. Cheng was among the first researchers in western countries who advocated the importance of mask wearing in the community to control the pandemic. He has published a number articles on COVID-19 which include commentaries on the timing of safe exit from lockdown and the role of the Nightingale hospitals. In addition, an original research article on the role of PPE in the BMJ has attracted much international attention. Prof. Cheng is Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine, Public Health England. He also holds an Honorary Chair at the University of Hong Kong.
 
Dr Kapil Yadav, Additional Professor in the Centre for Community Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi
 
Dr Kapil Yadav joined All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in year 2003 and worked at AIIM Sever since, in various capacities. Currently he Additional Professor in the Centre for Community Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi. He Is a Nodal Person for the National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Anemia Control (NCEAR-A), a technical support unit for Anemia Mukt Bharat Program, supported by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. He is the National Coordinator (India) for Iodine Global Network (IGN) formerly known as ICCIDD. He has worked as a technical expert for strengthening National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Control Program in Bangladesh, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Myanmar and SriLanka. Dr. Yadav has been a consultant in World Health Organization, UNICEF, and Micronutrient Initiative. Dr Yadav has published over 90 scientific publications in various National and International journals; contributes regularly to chapters in books, curriculum/course material and participates as resource person in health-related information sharing sessions in radio and television programs. Currently, he is a member of several committees constituted by Government of India and State governments in domain of nutrition, anemia, iodine deficiency disorders and public health. Dr Kapil Yadav is interested in the areas such as Anemia, Public Health Nutrition, Micronutrients, Iodine Deficiency Disorders, Medical Education, Urban health, Social Determinants of Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology and Community based research. Dr Kapil Yadav is currently PI for WHO Unity Study on Household Covid Transmission and co-investigator for AIIMS site for Corona Vaccine Trial. He is also the core member of IPHA/IAPSM/IAE Task force on Covid.

A service professional with over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector; her experience ranges from relationship building, communications, public relations, research, strategy, and policy work, creating community networks and building focussed campaigns promoting the interest of India in the UK. Lakshmi is a Champion of Regional India partnerships for the UK and represents CII on the Board of the Manchester India Partnership and on the Executive Board of the West Midlands India Partnership.
